The situation in Yagoori Sool is dire for the internally displaced persons from Las Canood. The IDPs are stranded. The majority are women, children, and the vulnerable. The IDPs in Yagoori are facing toxic trauma, getting very sick with symptoms of itchy skin, and diarrhea, especially among children. The IDPs are trying to cross to Qardho in Puntland but SNM is using the main tarmacked road to transport their casualties. This has caused fear amongst the IDPs to cross to Qardho for safety. Internally Displaced persons have very valid concerns about their security and safety. Therefore they need protection under international law to reach safe haven.
